More and more companies are starting to roll out their own versions of the Radeon RX 560. MSI, for one, has just revealed its RX 560 Aero ITX series graphics cards, and we’re going to have a closer look at them. If you know anything about the RX 560, you know that it’s no powerhouse, but it is definitely good enough for MOBA titles or AAA games at lower details settings. MSI’s offering comes in two different versions that look exactly the same. However, one variant offers 2GB of GDDR5 while the other has 4GB. The cards have short-length PCBs of just 15.5 cm, which makes them ideal for compact ITX builds.
The 2-slot thick cooler comes with an aluminum monoblock heatsink and a 90mm fan. As far as power goes, all of it is being drawn directly from the PCI-Express bus, as no auxiliary power connectors are available. When it comes to overclocking, the MSI RX 560 Aero ITX was factory tweaked to achieve 1196 MHz core and 1320 MHz boost. The 7.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory also deserves a mention, of course. Other highlights include a DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and dual-link DVI. No word on pricing just yet, but it’s likely safe to assume that these cards will be on the affordable side.
