MSI has launched two new AMD A68H series FM2+/FM2 socket based motherboards, the MSI A68HM-P33 and MSI A68HM-E33. The two new boards present a rich blend of features and technologies, offering the most stable and best cost/performance solution available.
Both of the two new motherboards are of the mircoATX form-factor and powered by the AMD A68H chipset. They support up to 32GB dual-channel memory with speeds up to 2133 MHz.
The two DDR3 memory slots support non-ECC and unbuffered memory with both the AMD Memory Profile (AMP) and Intel’s Extreme Memory Profile (XMP).
There are a lot of similarities between the two board but also a couple of differences. Mainly on the expansion slots. The A68HM-P33 has one PCIe 3.0 x16 and three PCIe 2.0 x1 slots where the E33 has one PCIe 3.0 x16, one PCIe 2.0 x1 and one legacy PCI slot.
Another difference is the monitor connectivity as the P33 has a VGA and DVI-D port with a maximum resolution of 2560×1600 where the M33 has an HDMI port instead of the DVI to support up to 4K resolutions.
Both boards have four on-board SATA3 ports with RAID 0,1 and 10 support, plenty of USB connections and have both Gigabit Ethernet and surround sound from Realtek. To ensure the best quality, MSI used their Military Class 4 components on these motherboards and added their ClickBIOS feature.
