MSI has just revealed their latest feature-packed gaming monitor, the MSI MAG 274UPF E2. It features a 27″ panel, which is a nice sweet spot of panel size for work and gaming. However, it also features a 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160), which means the pixel density is going to be very high, so the image quality should be incredibly sharp.
One of the most appealing features is the Rapid IPS panel, which will not only give you fantastic colour and contrast reproduction but also a 0.5ms GtG response time, making it feel more responsive for your gaming needs. Despite the 4K resolution, it still delivers a swift 160 Hz refresh rate, so you’ll want a pretty quick GPU to take full advantage of what it has to offer.
What’s interesting is that this monitor looks pretty much identical to the MPG monitor revealed last week, but it lacks the Quantum Dot and USB-C Power Delivery features, meaning this should be the more affordable of the two, but otherwise, they appear to offer a lot of the same specifications.
Other features of interest are the VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, 10-bit colour reproduction, native 120Hz mode for consoles, and VESA Adaptive Sync support.
