In the box, you’ll find five wheels, which can be installed by simply locking them into the five-point base. The wheels are “Silent PU Casters” and slighter soft to allow them to gain a little traction and roll with greatly reduced noise, especially on harder surfaces.

The five-point base is pretty standard stuff, although the nicely curved edges give it a nice aesthetic overall. It’s pretty robust feeling thanks to it being a single piece of metal.

The industry standard Class 4 Gas Lift, nothing too exciting about that, but it’s what we expect, so that’s fine.

You’ll also find a pair of ergonomic cushions. I love it when these are included, I think it gives a more premium look and feel overall. There’s a sculpted neck cushion for the top.

There’s a much larger lumbar cushion which is mounted with straps that run through the chair. They’re both padded heavily with memory foam too.

The base of the chair is pretty heavy, and that’s no surprise given it features a steel frame on the interior. It’s loaded with breathable foam for added comfort. It features wings on each side, but they’re quite low and wide, so it should support uses with a larger waistline. Plus, it’s great for those who cross their legs while gaming.

On the underside, you’ll find all your usual mounts for the gas lift, as well as a rocker mechanism. There’s a heavy-duty metal plate on the interior, allowing secure mounting of all the other hardware.

The two arms rests are your typical 4D design. Allowing for a whole bunch of adjustments. They look pretty decent, but we’ll take a closer look once the chair is built.

Finally, we have the massive backrest. It’s quite a tall section and the chair looks like it’ll be slightly above the height of your head while seated. It features two massive wings down the side for added support, although they’re quite relaxed in regards to angle and mostly aesthetic. However, if you’ve got the shoulders of a pro rugby player, they may get in the way.

Around the back of it, you can clearly see the cool two-tone design of the PU leather. A mixture of carbon fibre effect and black. It’s quite nice and while black, red, and carbon fibre have all been done to death, it’s still one of my favourite combinations for that classic “gamer” look.
