PackagingThe packaging for the board is very eye-catching with its shiny finish and bold advertising.
The front of the box clearly shows that this board features MSI’s Military Class II components. It also outlines the other key features like the 1 second overclocking via MSI’s OC Genie II, and the addition of super fast interfaces like USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/S. The B3 sticker also shows that this board won’t suffer the original SATA problem. There is a line of stickers in the upper-right corner indicating the supported features and technologies such as nVidia SLI, ATI cross fire and the Intel P67 chipset inside.
The left side of the box features a specifications list. It includes Processor, Memory, Video interface, Audio, LAN, Peripheral and Expansion specifications.
The right side of the box shows nothing of much importance apart from the serial number and product name whilst the rear of the box outlines a very small amount of basic information in multiple languages.
When we look at the underneath of the box, we can see that it is plastered with advertising including graphs, pictures and percentages. Military class 2 once again is the main event showing its benefits via multiple annotated graphs. OC Genie 2 and USB 3.0 & SATA 6GB/s advertising is also present in more detail.
Another list of Rich features is included, which presents the likes of Super charger, Click BIOS, and THX audio. A small picture of the I/O panel is also present. A small section for MSI’s contact information is a nice inclusion.
