MSI Pascal Gaming Laptops Taipei Event Round-Up

After a long flight home totalling around 20 hours, I thought a brief round-up of MSI’s Taipei press briefing would be beneficial. The event revolved around a number of new additions to the company’s gaming laptop range as well as improvements to the cooling hardware, audio circuitry and display technologies. While there wasn’t anything unexpected, the performance of NVIDIA’s Pascal mobile chips speak for themselves and deserve a great deal of attention. Unlike the previous generation offerings, they’re able to compete surprisingly well with the desktop versions and could dawn in a new era of high-performance portable gaming.

However, my only concern is the price point and ease of upgrades which may still make the desktop a better option for the long-term. Whatever the case, the future is interesting and I cannot wait to get my hands on MSI’s new gaming laptop range. MSI GT73VR Titan SLI: Great gaming platform with fastest 120Hz/5ms display

The latest 17.3” mobile SLI powerhouse, the MSI GT73VR Titan SLI supports dual GeForce® GTX 1070 SLI graphics, also have single GeForce® GTX 1080 graphics model for extreme gaming. The latest MSI GT72VR Dominator and GT62VR Dominator series introduces “Cooler Boost 4” that supports the latest GeForce® GTX 1070 graphics, and also the GeForce® GTX 1060 graphics for smooth VR experience with HTC VIVE Optimized performance.
With Sound by Dynaudio, Nahimic 2, and Audio Boost 2, the GT72VR and GT62VR Dominator series is embedded with an enhanced sound system.
