Graphics card manufacturers have started to roll out their customized versions of AMD’s RX 480, and we can now have a close look at MSI’s Radeon RX 480 GAMING X product. This graphics card comes with 8GB of memory, and it features a custom PCB with an 8-pin power connector and 4+2 phase design, which should ensure utmost stability during heavy gaming sessions. As far as outputs are concerned, we’re looking at five outputs in total, namely three DisplayPort, one DVI and one HDMI port. Another interesting addition is the full cover backplate, which was implemented by MSI for a plus of protection and reliability.
As far as aesthetics are concerned, the card is definitely pleasing to the eye, as it features a black and red color combination as well as a Twin Frozr VI cooler, which can also be seen on the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. The Radeon RX 480 is based on the Polaris 10 GPU, and it includes 2304 Stream Processors complemented by 8GB GDDR5 memory. This special version from MSI is expected to become available at the end of July, and even though no official release date has been announced at the time of writing, we’ll definitely keep you posted as we find out more.
