MSI Releases Z390I Mini-ITX Motherboard

Z390I Mini-ITX Motherboard

Mini-ITX builds, while never hugely breaking into the mainstream, have seen growing popularity over recent years. The appeal, of course, is trying to create the most powerful system possibly inside a chassis that is small enough to be easily portable and not intrusive to your desk space. While finding a mini-ITX chassis isn’t too difficult a challenge, finding a motherboard that can offer you everything you need (while being the right size) is certainly a lot harder.

With this in mind, MSI has just released the Z390I Mini-ITX Motherboard.

How Small Is It?

The board appears to support the Intel 1151 v.2. This being the architecture for the most recent Intel i9 processors. It is also said, via a report via ithome, to also support DDR4-4800 XMP OC. That’s pretty insanely fast RAM for such a small motherboard design. With all this on offer, the motherboard fits perfectly into the mini-ITX range at a 17cm square size in dimensions. In terms of mini-ITX motherboards, for such a small package, this would appear to offer more than a few truly high-performance factors into its design.

How Much Is It?

The MSI Z390I Mini-ITX Motherboard is out now and is retailing for a price in the region of £160-£180. Certainly not cheap, but for what you can get out of this, it’s certainly not bad either. For those of you with a mind for your next high-performance mini-ITX build, this motherboard is certainly going to provide an interesting option.
