Right on the heels of their GTX 1080 launch, MSI is releasing their next batch of Pascal graphics cards. Based off of the GP104-200 GPU, the GTX 1070 offers 1920 CUDA cores with a 256bit bus and 8GB of VRAM for 256GB/s of bandwidth. In addition to the Founders Edition of the card priced at $449, MSI is releasing the GTX 1070 GAMING X, AERO and SEA HAWK X for now.
The GTX 1070 SEA HAWK features the clock modes as the GAMING X but comes with a blower+ liquid cooler hybrid design. The last card is the AERO which is MSI’s in-house blower design. It pretty much looks like the SEA HAWK without the liquid cooling. The AERO comes in two variants with the factory OC version running at 1531/1721 MHz base/boost.
Overall, MSI is presenting quite a nice lineup for the GTX 1070 and hopefully, we’ll see an ARMOR variant out soon. Now, all I’m waiting for is to see some custom RX 480 and see what MSI has in store with that GPU.
