According to VideoCardz.com, MSI is preparing to launch an Aero ITX variant video card sporting an NVIDIA RTX 2070 GPU. This is a surprising product launch since most of the RTX 20-series video cards we have seen so far have very large coolers. Even the Founder’s Edition RTX 2070 with its dual fan CPU cooler reaches over 72 degrees Celcius under Furmark load.
Also surprising is the fact that MSI has one ready before ZOTAC has one out. Releasing compact versions of PC hardware is pretty much ZOTAC’s bread and butter.
The card itself looks very identical to MSI’s GTX 1070 Aero ITX. Except for a different IO in the rear. The DVI port is gone and the entire top slot is strictly for heat exhaust. It looks like the rest of the connectors on the bottom row have three DisplayPorts and one HDMI port available with no USB-C.
MSI has not officially verified and announced the product yet so it might not arrive for a few more weeks. Hopefully, before the holiday season and for those in the US, before the 25% tariffs start coming in next year.
