MSI is doing a great job with its Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 releases, as proven by the outstanding SEA HAWK versions that were unveiled not too long ago. Now, the brand has announced its improved GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 SEA HAWK EK variants, which are quite a bit better when compared to the standard SEA HAWK. That’s because they include a custom full cover waterblock that was created in partnership with EK Waterblocks, as well as a custom designed Gaming X PCB that ensures more power phases while supporting extra power delivery thanks to an extra 6pin PCI-e power connector. EK’s Chief of R&D, Niko Tivadar, had a few words to say about these new graphics cards:
“The MSI SEA HAWK EK X represents the pinnacle in enthusiast-class graphics cards and as such deserves only the best possible cooling. We are proud to say no compromises have been made. This is as good as it gets!”
As for the back areas of these cards, they feature MSI’s own full cover back plate with the renowned Dragon Army branding. Needless to say, these graphics cards will be incredibly sought-after by enthusiast overclockers, especially since they can work so well with full custom loops. No word on pricing or clock speeds at the time of writing, unfortunately, but it’s probably safe to assume that these MSI products will pack quite a punch.
