MSI Today has introduced the G2712, a 27-inch 1080p gaming monitor with a fast IPS panel offering 1ms response time and a 170Hz refresh rate. This monitor is designed for Esports gamers demanding speed and reaction times.
The G2712 is a fast monitor for gamers making use of its IPS panel it provides fast response times for crucial moments in Esports gaming. The monitor features a 27-inch bezel-less 1920×1080 display with a 1ms response time and fast 170Hz refresh rate which is supported by AMD FreeSync. The display has a wide true colour gamut with 85.67% Adobe RGB and 81.1% DCI-P3 colour ratings providing more realistic and refined gameplay colours and details. The monitor also features Night Vision which is the world’s first smart black tuner used to bring out the fine details in dark areas.
The display contains several features for improving your comfort including anti-flicker technology to prevent fatigue from display flicker as well as reducing blue light which is also a cause of eye fatigue. For adjustments, the monitor, unfortunately, does not feature a height adjustable stand and can only be titled by -5° ~ 20°. Despite this stand, you are able to remove it and replace it with a stand of your choosing with the included Vesa 100×100 mount. Display settings such as colour and brightness can be adjusted using the convenient joystick on the rear of the monitor rather than having to fiddle with lots of buttons.
The IO for this monitor is kept simple only featuring video ports and audio output. The included video ports are two HDMI ports supporting FHD@144Hz and 1 DisplayPort which supports the full 170Hz of the monitor. Alongside the IO is a featured DC jack for powering the monitor as the monitor utilises an external 20v power brick.
MSI Hasn’t revealed availability or pricing but based on the specs i’d assume a relatively affordable price. If you are interested in this monitor you can learn more about the MSI G2712 on the product page here.
