For fans of the mobile game Honkai: Star Rail, which I keep seeing terrible ads for, a new MSI RTX 4090 SUPRIM X graphics card has been leaked which features a theme based around one of the games characters… its another “waifu” card.
This custom graphics card was shared by hongxing2020 on Twitter and all in all the design looks pretty damn good with its green shroud and gold accents, that is until you look at the backplate and see the anime girl in a skimpy dress. Its based on the character “Ruan Mei” from Honkai: Star Rail a mobile gacha game which is effectively gambling, its a game that thrives based on players spending obscene amounts of money on loot boxes to get random characters. Being a mobile game also makes this a strange collaboration for an RTX 4090.
Chances are this card will be exclusive to the Chinese market though that is still rather odd considering the current import rules on the 4090 for China. This could possibly be a cancelled design and it will be released under the allowed RTX 4090D instead.
