MSI Showcase Their Upcoming Motherboards at Computex 2019

MSI Motherboards

Looking for a no-compromise enthusiast motherboard for X570? Then MSI certainly have an answer for your call! Their flagship X570 motherboard will, of course, be the Godlike. Not only does it look sublime with a fully armoured PCB, armoured DIMM slots, and four full-size PCIe lanes, but it also packs every high-end feature you could ask for.

Of course, like pretty much all X570, it has the built-in chipset fan to cool that new X570 hardware. This includes the latest PCIe 4.0 hardware which the boards PCIe lanes and M.2 mounts can tap into. That means NVMe drives of around 5000 MBs read and write; awesome for content creators and gamers!

It features an extended heatpipe design, cooling everything from the VRM down to the chipset, ensuring maximum performance from all of your hardware. Meanwhile, overclockers can benefit from the 2 x 8-pin power delivery, and the 14+4+1 IR Digital Power Design.

If that’s not enough, there’s also an M.2 XPANDER-Z Gen 4 PCIe card included with active cooling. For networking, you’ll have the 10G Super Lan Card too!

Expect prices to be crazy high, but if you want flagship, you’ll be expecting to pay a big premium anyway.

MEG X570 ACE

Still an expensive board, but every so slightly more modest is the ACE. It still has a huge bank of armoured hardware, Frozr Heatsinks, M.2 mounts and more. It drops down to three full-size PCIe 4.0 lanes, and doesn’t come with those sexy add-on cards you get with the Godlike. Still, I think this one may be the best compromise for those who don’t need 10 GBe and huge amounts of M.2 drives.

MPG X570 Gaming WiFi and Gaming Plus

While hardly low-end boards in their own respects, the Gaming Edge series looks perfect for the bulk of high-end gaming builds. They still feature an extended heat pipe design, but significantly less armour, especially on the DIMMs and M.2 mounts. That being said, you still get two full size PCIe 4.0 lanes, and three 4 x lanes. The obvious difference between them is one has WiFi and one does not.

Prestige X570 and MEG X399 Creation

For those building Ryzen or Threadripper based workstations, we have their top two productivity boards. These have more robust connectivity, such as Dual LAN, high-speed WiFi, and 10G options. They have much more robust thermal cooling and armour, and more storage options too. These will be damn expensive, but when it comes to performance and design, they’re easily some of the best boards coming to market.
