Earlier today, we had a peek at ASUS‘ take on the newly announced Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and now it is MSI’s turn to show what they got up their sleeves. At least partially. We don’t get a lot of information, but what we see looks pretty nice.
It is no surprise that MSI equipped the powerful GTX 1080 Ti with their well renowned Twin Frozr cooling solution. We also know that the chip is the GP102 GPU that comes with 3584 cores, 224 TMUs, and 88 ROPs. The clocks have also most likely been pushed above the Founder Edition which comes with a 1480 MHz base clock and a 1582 MHz Turbo. The GPU is coupled with 11264 MB GDDR5X memory that is clocked at 1376 MHz.
Now, those reference Founder Edition speeds most like got a push right out of the box, but even if not, you should be able to push a card like this quite nicely yourself. We know from experience with other cards featuring this type cooler that they work marvellously. So we don’t expect anything else from MSI’s Ultimate GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
Are you ready to jump from your current graphics card and onto the GTX 1080 Ti waggon? Or are you rather hoping to pick up another card at a discount now this more powerful cards comes on the market? Let us know in the comments.
