The RTX 4060 Ti is being met with a cold reception from various AIBs who are supposedly uninterested in the card however that hasn’t stopped MSI who has decided to create a brand-new design.
MSI is preparing to release a new slim triple fan white design for the RTX 4060 Ti as revealed by hongxing2020 on Twitter (via VideoCardz). This new slim Gaming X design from MSI is just 2 slots thick as opposed to the existing Gaming X trio 4060 Ti 8GB card which is 2.5 slots thick and reinforces the idea that many of the 4060 series coolers were serious overkill. Aside from its 2 slot design, it features a very clean white colour scheme with RGB illumination on the side of the card and likely through the centre fan as well. The three fans look to feature MSI’s TORX fan 5.0 design as well as the tried and true ventilated backplate.
The 16GB variant of the RTX 4060 Ti is expected to launch on July 18th with 16GB of GDDR6 on top of the existing 4352 Cuda cores and 128-bit memory bus on a PCIe Gen 4 8x interface. With an MSRP of $499 it’s possible this gaming X variant will be above that price however with many of the 40 series cards dropping prices within days of their launch, I’d hazard a guess this won’t stay at that price for long.
