MSI Unveils The GTX 1070 Quick Silver Graphics Card

MSIMSI has amassed an impressive range of Pascal graphics cards sporting the company’s latest Twin Frozr VI cooling design. Of course, the red and black colour might not be to everyone’s tastes and doesn’t match certain motherboard choices. Thankfully, MSI has considered this and decided to launch a brand new graphics card. The GTX 1070 Quick Silver edition features a rather fetching silver style which is reminiscent of MSI’s Titanium series motherboards. The GPU utilises a 1518MHz core clock, 1708MHz boost clock and the 8GB GDDR5 operates at a speed of 8000MHz. It’s possible to select the OC mode which increases the core to 1531MHz and boost to 1721MHz. This is slightly below the current GTX 1070 Gaming X which opts for 1582/1771MHz using the Gaming Mode and 1607/1797MHz when you deploy the OC profile

As expected, the product requires a 6-pin and 8-pin PCI-E connectors and has a really striking backplate design. The backplate is finished in a lovely silver shade and incorporates MSI’s iconic Gaming Dragon logo.

Unfortunately, no details have been revealed regarding pricing or availability but I’m expecting the GPU to cost around the same as MSI’s current GTX 1070 offerings with the Twin Frozr VI cooler. Personally, I love the colour and think it’s an excellent addition to MSI’s lineup.
