MSI unveiled a new micro-ATX X299 motherboard. The X299M-A Pro is MSI’s second X299 micro-ATX, after the X299M Gaming Pro Carbon. However, unlike the Gaming Pro Carbon, the board is designed to run the Intel Core i5-7640X and Core i7-7740X CPUs only. The simple board features just two-channel DDR4 memory, but includes four DIMM slots. Specifically, it supports up to 64GB of RAM. In addition, the X299M-A Pro boasts twin M.2 slots, Intel Optane support, and 4 PCIe Gen3 slots.
MSI is yet to announce X299M-A Pro release details. However, TechPowerUp expects the board to cost approximately $170.
