MSI upgraded their Cubi mini-PC range and announced their latest and smallest mini-PC to date, the MSI Cubi 2. These tiny systems are built with the latest Intel Kabylake-U processors from Core i3 to Core i7 types and can as such serve consumers and businesses alike in various scenarios.
The MSI Cubi 2 is so small that you can hold it in your palm and with a size like that, you have nearly endless possibilities where you place it. You can wall mount it, you can hang it on a VESA compatible monitor or mount, or you could just place it on the desk where its tiny footprint hardly will be noticed. At the same time, it’s a very power efficient system thanks to the use of mobile CPUs.
The tiny 0.45-liter case will look great on any office desk or living room with its curved edges, smooth surface, and a subtle ventilation frame. There will also be both a black and a white version available. So whether you want a small HTPC, a PC for office work, or something else other than gaming, the MSI Cubi 2 could be a good choice. The Kabylake CPUs come with Intel HD620 series graphics card which easily supports 2 monitor setups through HDMI and DisplayPort.
For such a tiny system, you can add a lot of storage. There’s room for a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD on top of an M.2 SSD. It also comes with wired and wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and USB 3.1 Gen 1 connection options. You’ll have to provide the memory yourself and these tiny systems can support up to two times 16GB DDR4 for a total of 32GB 2133MHz memory.
