MSI Will Equip Its New Gaming Notebooks with ESS’ SABRE HiFi Audio DAC

MSI Technology has recently announced its partnership with ESS Technology for its brand new gaming notebooks. These notebooks will be equipped with ASS’ SABRE HiFi Audio DAC and will be powered by Intel’s latest 6th generation Core i7 Skylake processors, which means that they will be able to deliver exceptional audio quality as well as incredible performance in games.

Regarding the collaboration, the Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at MSI, Eric Kuo, stated the following:

“MSI is thrilled to work with a technology leader like ESS on the most innovative gaming notebooks we have ever introduced. The entire SABRE brand is revered by audiophiles around the world as the pinnacle of audio excellence. It’s the perfect choice for our hardcore gamers who look for the best features and the best systems to deliver an unparalleled gameplay experience.”

The Chief Marketing Officer over at ESS, Dan Christman, also had a few words to say:

“MSI is an undisputed leader in the gaming industry and we are excited to collaborate with them on this landmark notebook series. The gaming industry has always led the way in evangelizing superior technologies and we are pleased to see this recognition for the outstanding audio capabilities of our SABRE products.”

It’s understandable that MSI would want to partner up with ESS, as its SABRE HiFi is known for providing incredibly immersive sound effects. Gamers will surely appreciated the pure lossless audio and incredible sound quality delivered by the new GS60 Ghost, GS70 Stealth and MSI GT72 Dominator Pro G notebooks. What makes ESS SABRE HiFi stand out among its peers is its ability to enable Hi-Res Audio with a 24bit/192kbps sampling rate in order to ensure support for the FLAC format. Furthermore, this PC DAC boasts a 16ohm to 600ohm impedance range, a signal to noise ratio of up to 127dBA and a THD+N of -120dB.
