Intel’s new X299 platform is almost here! That means we’ve got a few more leaks, teasers and more creeping through. The latest of which comes from MSI. Their new X99 GODLIKE GAMING motherboards are teased as being their flagship board for the upcoming release.
With X299, you can expect support for the latest Intel Basin Falls platform.
This beast of a motherboard features some serious hardware. There are 4 x PCI-Express slots, 3 x M.2 slots, all of which come with armour. Then you’ve got 3 x Ethernet as well as two Wi-Fi antennas for all kinds of cool connectivity. There’s USB 3.1 support, and so much more.
While we don’t have the exact release date, we’re currently expecting a launch after Computex at the end of this Month. At the same time, you can expect the boards to launch along with the new Intel Core i9 processors.
There should be two motherboards in this series. The Gaming and the Gaming Carbon, which we expect to be a mostly aesthetic thing.
No word on price just yet, but which what we do know of the specifications, expect it to be freaking expensive. The release date isn’t solid right now, but early next month is a safe bet.
