MSI X99A GODLIKE Gaming Review

BIOS and Overclocking

The UEFI BIOS has been around for some time now. Offering a more aesthetically pleasing version of the old school legacy BIOS with a user interface similar to a Windows program. I won’t delve much into the BIOS features as the features have been covered before. One thing that you will notice is the GODLIKE branding on the main BIOS screen.

Overclocking

Now our i7-5960X can normally achieve an overclock of 4.4GHz on most motherboards, the improved socket on this board has allowed us to achieve a slightly higher 4.5GHz overclock. General rule of thumb is the i7-5960X can overclock to 4.6GHz on 1.35v, ours didn’t want to load into windows with this overclock and I didn’t feel comfortable pushing any more voltage through it.
