MSI’s traditional colour scheme for the overclocking range has been yellow and black for some time. However, the company’s research shows that very few people opted for this theme and resulted in lower than expected sales. Furthermore, it’s quite difficult to find components which match the striking yellow colour scheme. For example, the only RAM which comes to mind is Avexir Core series and Crucial Ballistix Tactical. Subsequently, MSI decided to alter the latest Z170 XPOWER motherboard to a stunning silver PCB with black highlights.
The Z170 XPOWER faced a substantial delay to retail channels but is finally in stock at Overclockers UK, SCAN and Dabs. Additional stock will arrive next week to other retailers such as Amazon, eBuyer, Novatech and more! The Z170 XPOWER is a phenomenal motherboard featuring a 16-phase digital voltage regulator module, supreme titanium chokes and a raft of other high-end features. I’m particularity fond of the OC dashboard which allows you to make BLCK changes through manual buttons.
In terms of pricing, the Z170 XPOWER retails for £229.99 and features a 3-year warranty. This is a substantial investment but offers incredibly high-end overclocking functionality and utilizes one of the best looking motherboard PCB’s on the market.
