MSI Z270 MPOWER Gaming Titanium Motherboard Released

MSI has announced the addition of the shiny new MSI Z270 MPOWER Gaming Titanium motherboard to their LGA1151 lineup. Like other MSI Titanium motherboards before it, the MSI Z270 MPOWER Gaming Titanium is decked in metallic silver and outfitted with a backplate armor as well as its DIMM and expansion slots reinforced with metal shielding. It is not just all about appearances for the Z270 MPOWER Gaming Titanium however as it also packs quite the punch, especially when it comes to audio.
It utilises the latest and greatest onboard Realtek ALC1220 HD audio codec with 120dB SNR and 32-bit support. What makes this HD audio codec greater than the popular ALC1150 is not just the higher signal-to-noise ratio, but because it also supports DSD and has built-in rear and front amps so there are no external ICs needed to be integrated into the circuit. This means cleaner layout and less interference. MSI’s design on the Z270 MPOWER Gaming Titanium utilises also utilises special audio capacitors and an isolated PCB area to further improve sound quality.
The MSI Z270 MPOWER Gaming Titanium also offers quite a bit of storage connectivity with not just one or two, but three M.2 NVMe drive support. It also has onboard U.2 without the need of an adapter and six SATA3 6G ports. In terms of USB storage, it has USB Type-C in the back and also has a USB Type-C front panel connector onboard. For network connectivity, it utilises the latest Killer E2500 Gigabit LAN controller.
Overclockers also have plenty to be happy about with the Z270 MPOWER Gaming Titanium as it has 10-phases for the CPU+GT and has a separate clock generator for refined BCLK adjustments. It also has a BIOS FLASHBACK+ function and a clear CMOS button right at the rear IO for fast and hassle-free overclocking.
