The handheld gaming market is growing fast with several available options from Ayaneo, Valve, ASUS and most recently Lenovo all offering similar devices with their own quirks and differences. More competition in a market is always great making the news of MSI joining the handheld market with their MSI “Claw”, a very nice thought.
The images for the MSI Claw Gaming Handheld were shared on Twitter/X by wxnod (Via TPU) in a leaked promotional image with the date of 2024. The handheld itself is nothing we haven’t already seen in the competition but shares much of its “gamer” design language with the ROG Ally including the RGB joysticks. The controls also follow the same layout as the competition which is great for comfort and uniformity. There isn’t much else to decipher from the image though I’d suspect more information will be revealed at CES 2024 on January 9th-12th.
