Mushkin may be better known for their memory products, but at CES 2017 we got to see the prototype for their upcoming mechanical keyboard! It features an aluminium brushed metal design that looks rather stunning, with black key caps that give it a nice contrasting design. There’s some LED lighting too, but that’s hardly a surprise given almost everything does these days.
As you can see from the spec card, the Carbon: K8-001 comes equipped with Kailh Brown switches, which promise to deliver 50 million cycles, 100% anti-ghosting, full N-key rollover, and come mounted on a durable double fiberglass PCB design, which combined with the aluminium gives the keyboard a high-quality look and feel.
The keyboard also features a unique font on the keycaps, as well as full customisation of all options via the the Fn-shift button.
No word on price, but expect it to launch in a few months. We’ll bring you more information as soon as we have it.
