Pricing
The MyDigitalSSD drive is still being rolled out at the time of review, so the availability is limited so far. You can get it through the official MyDigialDiscount shop or through Amazon where the 1TB version of the Boost will set you back as little as $279.99. You can also get the enclosure itself without any pre-installed drives for just $49.99 and then add your own preferred mSATA drives.
Overview
MyDigitalSSD has retaken the crown as the best performing external solid state drive once again. The portable Boost drive shows us that portability doesn’t need to come at the sacrifice of neither speed nor capacity. With 1TB capacity and a performance of over 800MB/s, the Boost is a clear winner.
The clever design with an upgradeable interior and freedom of choice when it comes to the RAID setup gives the Boost another boost in regards to the value. It’s already a very cheap drive in itself and especially when we consider the performance that it brings along – but you also get upgrade-ability on top of that and that’s just awesome.
The drive is beautiful to look at and available in black too. It has a nice feel to hold thanks to the aluminium housing that also makes it quite durable. The inclusion of not one, but two cables, provides another value to the drive and it will let you connect it to almost any host system with USB.

“Whether you want to use the MyDigitalSSD Boost as a game drive on your console, a media location, or just for backups, it will be a great choice. Plenty of capacity and a mind blowing speed.”
