MyDigitalSSD BPX 480GB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive Review

Final Thoughts

Pricing

At the time of writing, the MyDigitalSSD BPX 480GB hasn’t fully made it to Europe yet, but US readers can find it for as little as $199.99 on Amazon. The cheapest NVMe drive, per GB of storage, that I’ve tested to date.

Overview

MyDigitalSSD has been around for a while now and they’ve come a long way. The latest drive of theirs is the BPX PCIe M.2 2280 NVMe SSD is an awesome drive that provides a lot of bang for the buck. It is packed with features from end-to-end protection and power loss protection over wear leveling algorithms and ECC to SMART, RAID, and Trim. It isn’t just a drive with great features, the BPX is also a drive that performs with chart-topping results. And it does all that for the lowest asking price per GB capacity of all the NVMe storage drives that we have tested here at eTeknix.

The drive itself is very simple in regards to the visual aspects. There is a large sticker on one side, but it is the side that will face the motherboard, leaving you with a clean-looking system with a direct view onto the SSDs controller. There is a tiny screwdriver included which allows you to install the drive right out of the box without the need for other tools if your system otherwise is a tool-less one – as many are these days. It will also fit perfectly into notebooks and ultrabooks where its power saving features, small size, and tiny weight makes it an obvious choice.

The MyDigitalSSD BPX is also a drive that comes with an amazing warranty and impressive workload rating. The drive is rated for an impressive 1400 TB total bytes written and comes backed by a full five-year warranty for that duration. That’s impressive and it underlines the confidence that MyDigitalSSD has in the drive. And why shouldn’t they? We’ve just seen across the previous pages how great the drive performs.
