MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro 960GB M.2 NVMe SSD Review

Final Thoughts

Pricing and Availability

At the time of this review, MyDigitalSSD’s new BPX Pro with 960GB can be yours for just $259.99 via Amazon. It is currently not available on the UK site of Amazon. That’s an incredible value for your money.

Final Throughts

We had a look at the BPX Pro from MyDigitalSSD today and what a pleasure it was. To be honest, I hadn’t expected anything else. It always has been in the past. We saw a beautiful drive perform with positions at the best end of our charts, and that for an incredibly low asking price.

The drive itself is simple, a PCB with a sticker. That’s how most M.2 drives come. Still, the sticker design is effective without being intrusive. The standard 2280 M.2 form factor should make it compatible with most motherboards and M.2 adapters. It utilises the latest connection technologies, PCIe 3.1 and NVMe 1.3, and it is built around some of the latest technologies. That allows it to perform well while drawing very little power as well as generating a lot less heat than we’re used to from NVMe drives. With less heat, there’s less thermal throttling and thereby a more steady performance. A win on all fronts.

Performance and Endurance

MyDigital’s BPX Pro with 960GB capacity performed incredibly well for it’s asking price. It is easily capable of competing with some of the best drives on the market – but they can’t compete with the BPX Pro price. Our conditioning of the drive didn’t have much impact on the performance which is another great sign. The drive will serve you well for a very long time. That’s also reflected in the 5-year warranty which is included.

Bonus

The added bonus of a tiny screwdriver and a replacement screw for the M.2 slot is great. While it isn’t needed, it allows anyone to mount it without having to dig around to find a screwdriver. The size also makes it convienient for space-constrained systems.

Pros

  • High performance allowing it to compete against the best drives on the market
  • A price so low it competes with the cheapest budget drives on the market
  • Long endurance and 5-year warranty
  • Bundled mini screwdriver and replacement M.2 screw

Cons

  • Absolutely none!

“With a performance as high and price as low as the MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro has to offer, it will be hard to resist getting just one.”
