MyDigitalSSD Unveils SBX Series PCIe M.2 NVMe SSDs

MyDigitalSSD is announcing the arrival of their new SBX series M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs. The SBX series targets best in class price and performance, utilizing a Phison PS5008-E8 controller with Toshiba TLC 3D NAND. It is capable of up to 1.6GB/s max sequential read and 1.3GB/s max sequential write performance.

The onboard Phison E8 controller comes packed with features to keep your data secure, including end-to-end data path protection, power loss protection, secure erase, and support for APST / ASPM / L1.2 power saving modes. The Phison PS5008-E8 controller can also utilize PCIe 3.0 x2 lanes. While this lowers the max performance, it allows laptops to save on power and frees up two more lanes of bandwidth.

The SBX series is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities and is available in a 2280 form factor. It comes with a 5-year warranty with up to 800 terabytes written (TBW).

Pricing and Availability

The MyDigitalSSD SBX series starts at just $64.99 USD for the 128GB model and $104.99 for the 256GB model. Users who want greater capacity can opt for the 512GB as well for only $184.99.  All three are now available, directly from MyDigitalDiscount store. The 1TB option will be available soon, and pricing has not been revealed yet.
