Thanks to the well laid out cable management and the plentiful room behind the motherboard for excess cables, the whole build process took around half an hour. Using our BitFenix Alchemy cables the build looks stunning, but the cable management does such a good job I don’t think the extended cables were required. Our Kingston SSD is happily installed on the quick release drive trays, but since were not installing a front radiator I left the hard drive docks in their original configuration.
Our Antec 920 Kuhler has plenty of room to breath within the chassis. I removed the 140mm rear fan and placed it on the top of the chassis to take advantage of the chimney system. This made room for both fans in a push pull configuration on the rear radiator. A hidden cable management cut-out hides behind the optical drives and does a great job of hiding all the front panel cables.
Around the back of the chassis everything looks nice and tidy, the GTX 560 Ti graphics card has plenty of ventilation surrounding it and as you saw in the last few pictures, there are no obstructions to airflow inside the chassis.
Finally with all the panels back in place it’s as if we haven’t installed a system in the Deep Silence 1 at all, a very clean looking end result.
