Today, 2K Games revealed that PC gamers will finally get their hands on the “new-gen” version of NBA 2K25, and even better, they’ve already revealed the PC system requirements too, so let’s find out if you can run it!
On PC, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i3-9100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and at least 8GB of RAM, so the entry point there is surprisingly low, and should cover any relatively affordable modern CPU just fine. However, they recommend an Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with 16GB of RAM for more ideal performance, but again, that’s pretty modest.
Graphics cards are similarly easy on the entry level, with the Nvidia GTX 960 4 GB, AMD Radeon RX 570 4 GB or Intel Arc A580 as a starting point, or for the recommended hardware, an Nvidia RTX 2070, AMD Radeon RX 5700 and even the Intel Arc A770 makes the cut.
You’ll need a 150GB of free disk space, so expect a fairly hefty download for this one, but that’s becoming the norm these days anyway; sorry those of you with slow internet, I guess.
Using their ProPLAY tech, NBA 2K25 looks to be the most realistic game in the series, and I can’t wait to check it out. Hopefully, it’s not a bug-riddled s***-show, but 2K hasn’t exactly got a clean track record for PC releases. NBA 2K25 on PC releases on PC on September 6th.
