Keyboards are great tools for typing and typing again but I bet you’ve never thought about using 100 RGB keyboards to create a monitor like this user on r/pcmasterrace.
u/DaKrazyKid shared on the PC Master Race subreddit a video of nearly 100 RGB keyboards being used as a giant display. The video shows exactly what it says on the tin, 100 RGB keyboards using their individually lit keys to act as pixels showing various classic internet videos including Nyan Cat, Never Gonna Give You Up, Peanut Butter Jelly Time and many more. This display looks to have been created by the SignalRGB team and they state that they connected 96 RGB keyboards to a single PC using 14 powered USB hubs as well as 5 PCIE USB expansion cards and then used SignalRGB to sync each keyboard using the screen ambience effect. This display was shown at PAX West and allowed for visitors to select which video they wanted to play. I want to know whether they played DOOM on it, how many people can say they’ve played DOOM on 96 RGB keyboards.
