The gameplay trailer for the next installment of the Need for Speed franchise entitled Payback went live two weeks ago. Now they have released another one, but this time it focuses on the story mode of the game. While some are just eager to get on the road and race, hardcore fans of the franchise want to be fully immersed before they start playing. Like any good story, it involves revenge and assembling your crew to make those who did you wrong pay.
Obviously, comparisons to the Fast and Furious movie franchise are inevitable. Between the fast cars and the multi-cultural crew, they are not exactly hiding it. The main character Tyler, teams up with Mac, and Jess who will take on racing challenges in order to be one step closer to their goal. With every win, the characters earn the respect of Fortune Valley’s underworld. With every win, they get closer to taking down The House.
