We should all thank BioWare for the classic gem that is Neverwinter Nights. The game came out for Microsoft Windows in 2002, and it received universal acclaim from critics and gamers alike. Moreover, it paved the way for many other impressive titles, and now, it looks like it is about to receive an Enhanced Edition. The news comes courtesy of publisher Beamdog. It will be interesting to see how this new version will shape up, especially since it will be based on Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition. Obviously, it will include some remastered elements such as improved display and advanced graphics settings.
The great news is that this new version of the game will be backwards compatible with old saves. If you know anything about Beamdog, you know that they have already released a few other Enhanced RPGs. Some of the most noteworthy examples include Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II. Below you will find a complete list of features for Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition, as well as a gameplay trailer.
On the other hand, the trailer doesn’t seem to showcase any dramatically-enhanced graphics. Still, the end result might be much more impressive.
