The next in the DLC for Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar, is coming soon. Dice, however, are treating us to a sneak peek as one of the maps will be available for early access by the end of this week. That is, of course, assuming you are in the premium club.
I do suspect this early access map has only been released due to the significant time it has taken to deliver the new DLC. It has been over 6 months since the last official DLC for the game and while Battlefield 1 is still quite fresh, people are anxious for this next chapter.
The new map, Lupkow Pass, will be available on the community test servers (CTE) reports PCGamesN. While this is hardly general release, it does, however, give us hope that this DLC will come. At this point, those of us who bought the Premium passes are kinda wondering what we got for that. Access to the DLC is good, but it would be nice to get it while the game is still relevant.
An exact date isn’t confirmed, but it’s expected for Friday. This should allow people to have a full weekend of play and criticism.
When it is finally released, we are promised to be given an insight into the Eastern front and in addition, as we reported some time ago, you will also be able to play as female soldiers.
I must confess, since the last patch I have fallen out of love with Battlefield 1. I used to love the bayonet mechanics. They were admittedly very temperamental and yes, maybe a little over the top. I also feel that medics have since been overpowered. Then again, no one is ever happy about changes.
Battlefield 1: In the name of the Tsar should, hopefully, see a release in September 2017. I do suspect that for the first time, those that forked out for premium membership in Battlefield 1 might start seeing some value.
