The official Twitter account for the Borderlands series has confirmed that Borderlands 4 will debut its trailer at The Game Awards 2024, much to the excitement of fans who are staying up late to catch the big reveal. “Prepare yourselves! We’re about to crank things up to the next f****ing level at #TheGameAwards,” the official post on X reads, adding, “Who’s ready to get their first look at the most ambitious Borderlands yet?!”
Randy Pitchford Hypes Up the Trailer
The news of the trailer isn’t exactly a surprise. In recent days, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford teased the trailer on X, saying, “Cooking up a new Borderlands 4 trailer and it’s badass af. Latest render is knocking me out. I’m not supposed to talk about it yet, but idgaf. I’M FREAKING OUT, yo.” He also replied to a fan’s question about gameplay with, “I know, right?!? I CAN’T WAIT TO RELEASE THIS F’ING TRAILER!” Given this, fans had already speculated that the trailer would drop during The Game Awards 2024, a prediction that now seems spot on.
What Can We Expect from the Trailer?
As for what the trailer will reveal, it’s hard to say at this point. Based on Pitchford’s comments, we can expect some thrilling gameplay footage, but whether it can live up to the hype remains to be seen. Let’s just hope Borderlands 4 can make up for the disappointment of this year’s Borderlands movie.
