Fallout 4 definitely has its number of bugs and glitches, but some of them are just a part of the game’s charm. For example, I don’t really mind when I go into an elevator and my companion suddenly decides to make an appearance with half of his body stuck in the elevator wall. Game-breaking bugs annoy me, though, and I’m pretty sure that they annoy every other Fallout 4 player out there. Fortunately, Bethesda has announced a brand new beta patch for its newest title, a patch that aims to fix the notorious “stuck at terminal” issues while improving the game’s performance in areas such as the Corvega Assembly Plant.
The update occupies about 210MB of space, and it will download automatically if you have enabled access to beta patches on Steam. If you haven’t, then all you need to do is right-click on the game in your Steam library, then go to “Settings”, “Betas”, select “Beta Update” and click OK. After the patching process is complete, the game should now appear as Fallout 4 [beta] in your library, and that’s how you’ll know that it has been updated. Apart from the terminal issues and performance improvements in Corvega Assembly Plant, the new patch also brings general memory and stability improvements.
