Five Nights at Freddy’s, you apparently either love it or hate it. Bursting onto the scene through major YouTube ‘lets plays’ it has become one of the best selling indie games of all times.
Branching into many sequels, Scott has traditionally released an FNAF game at least once a year and does have the habit of not giving much notice about it.
The plot of Five Nights at Freddy’s is perhaps what keeps bringing fans back to it. I won’t go into it in detail here, but how such a simple game spawned such a massive plot is beyond me. Spawning 2 books, there were even discussions about a movie adaptation. Those talks have, however, since quietened down.
Hopes were not high for a new FNAF game as Scott announced he had canceled it. It turns out though that while he might not necessarily have been teasing us, he has actually released a brand new game.
Weeks after announcing the cancellation, Scott started teasing us again with his website about a possible new game in the works. Well, it has finally released for free on Steam.
FNAF Pizzeria Simulator would appear to be a very basic simulator/arcade game, but any one who knows Scott’s games will know that there is far more to it than meets the eye.
Put simply, this is FNAF 6 and may even be the final game we see in the franchise. I suspect that initially Scott may have planned for something a lot more ambitious and therefore that his cancellation at the time was genuine. I think, however, he since decided to scale things way back to this new release.
While I won’t spoil anything for you here, fans of the series can get the game for free on the Steam store page.
