New photos of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones have leaked, and this time, it appears to be the real deal. The leaks come courtesy of Dmitri12 of Slashleaks who has proven to be one of the more reliable information provider there with 93% hit rate and 197 information leaks. The new flagship phones from Samsung are expected to be launched globally on March 29th, and one of its most notable features is the patented so-called “infinity display” curved, almost bezel-less screen.
Both Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be similarly sized to the previous generation although the new display will sport an 18.5:9 display ratio on its 5.8 and 6.2-inch screen respectively. The leaked photo shows the iris scanner on the top and an on-screen home button which is a big change for Samsung users. The date on the screen shows March 4th which is too late for any prototype models to come out of China. The leaked photos are a lot different from early leaked renders suggest and shows a much sleeker, unified design.
As for pricing, there is no clear information yet, but many believe it to be priced higher than the Galaxy S7, estimated to be around €799 for the Galaxy S8 and €899 for the S8 Plus.
