There’s a new Mass Effect game being worked on over in the BioWare studios, but we are being told that the next Mass Effect game will be “epic in scale” and that it will focus much more on the exploration of planets, and exploration in general, versus its predecessors.
The latest rumors are that the next-gen Mass Effect would use DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine, which powers Battlefield 4 and the new Dragon Age: Inquisition. A post on NeoGAF from “Shinobi602” says that the new game will be epic in scope with a much larger scale, which is thanks to the “impressive” number of explorable planets and unique lands. The user said that the new ME game would not be a prequel, which means we’re looking at a character to be introduced that replaces Shephard from the previous games.
