New Mod Adds DLSS 2 to Cities Skylines 2

Something we can probably all agree on is that Cities Skylines 2 could have definitely done with DLSS considering the absolute disaster it was at launch. Albeit, performance and stability have already greatly improved since launch. However, I have great news for you, as it seems that if Paradox won’t add DLSS, the modding community certainly will.

Cities Skylines 2

The mod isn’t perfect and isn’t fully ready yet, but it does work well enough and does improve the performance of the game, which may be extremely useful if you are running older hardware and the game still doesn’t quite running as it should. The Mod does cause some artifacts when used as DLSS 2 has not been fully implemented yet, but this will no doubt improve with updates.

DLSS 2

The Mod was created by someone who goes by the user name “CaptainOfCoit” who claims he got a performance boost of 53% but didn’t specify what GPU he was running so this just tells us that it works but not by how much. Considering that Cities Skylines 2 is surprisingly GPU-bound for a sim game, we can be sure that this will help boost your performance with the game so big thanks to CaptainOfCoit.

How to Play

If you want to get the mod you can go here to download and just follow the installation guide. Unfortunately, CaptainOfCoit didn’t give any screenshots or videos of the mod so you’ll have to download it and see for yourself. So since he didn’t give any screenshots of the mod before and after please tell us in the comments below or on our Discord if you get it and how much it improved your games performance.
