New Nexus 4 Sells Out In Under An Hour After Launch

Normally when we see the launch of a new iPhone for example, the flood of people queuing outside shops for hours (sometimes days) on end can lead to an early disappointment when the shops run out of stock and the time waited is wasted. Well its just as well that Google didn’t have people queuing outside the shops judging by their online sales as the new the new Nexus 4 went out of stock in well under the hour, with the 16GB models all being swooped up from Google’s Online Play Store in a mere 22 minutes.
The 32GB models were also quickly taken up with stock soon diminished from the Australian store and the ‘Coming Soon’ banner left on users screens. Whether this quick sell out is down to not enough handsets being produced ready for launch or the estimates of initial sales being slightly miss calculated, we don’t know at this time. Either way for the time being, if you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the new phone, then you may have a bit of a longer wait on your hands.
