New No Man’s Sky Trailer Shows Off Space Combat

There’s no denying that No Man’s Sky is one of the most anticipated games of 2016, providing players with the ability to travel across a vast universe and explore wild alien worlds. With its release almost upon us, excitement for the title is reaching its peak, with many players anxious to jump into the enormous explorable universe. As if to whet their appetite, a new trailer for the game’s combat systems has surfaced which shows off one of the games most anticipated features, space combat.

The trailer features a number of flavours of combat, from on-foot to fighter craft and even large capital ships, there is no shortage of ways for the player to engage enemies. The space combat elements show off different types of engagements, ranging from one-on-one dogfights between fighters to squadrons of fighters making attacks on formations of larger craft.

After the delay that made some question whether the game would truly be able to live up to all of its promises, the imminent release and high quality of gameplay shown in the trailers should reassure many of the cynical fans out there. Meanwhile, the game enjoys the top slot on Amazon UK’s list of most anticipated 2016 games, beating AAA titles such as Final Fantasy XV and Battlefield 1 in the lineup.

No Man’s Sky will release simultaneously in all regions on August 9th and will be available on the PC and Playstation 4.
