New PS Vita TV Images Appear Online, Shows Touch Pad Emulation & UI

There are new reports coming in from those who have been lucky enough to get hands on with the new PlayStation Vita TV. Word has it that the resolution looks great, remote play from the PlayStation 4 looks fantastic despite its 720p video stream to the mini-console, and they’re even reporting no noticeable latency.
Sony had a few displays running the hardware, including one of their latest 4K displays and while the PS Vita may not be able to match such an impressive resolution it clearly upscales very well to the large display panel.
One of the more interesting features is how to Vita TV handles the fact that the DualShock 3 doesn’t features touch panels like the Vita, and clicking the left stick will simulate a tap on the front panel, clicking the right will simulate a tap on the back and both together will simulate pinch. No word on how the games could support a swipe gesture, although it is safe to say that developers could patch their titles to fix any minor incompatibilities that arise in the future.
The PS Vita is certainly shaping up nicely and we can only hope that Sony bring it to Europe and America in the near future.
