PS4 Trophy Data Reveals Sales Figures
Since the release of the PS4, it has always proven to be a little difficult to nail down Sony in regards to exact sales figures for their games. In fairness, this isn’t an allegation that can solely be applied to the company. Nintendo and Microsoft follow suit with this policy instead allowing developers to reveal the sales figures if they wish.
Following the release of the My PS4 Life website though, which details achievement figures in specific games. Stat enthusiasts have been able to combine this with the information Sony does release to provide a fair list of what likely games sales have been on the console.
Figures!
We should note that this is by no means 100% accurate. When you do put both pieces of the puzzle together though, the resulting image does make sense! To date, the following figures have been released.
- GTA V: 51,700,000
- FIFA 18, 30,000,000
- Doom: 3,900,000
- The Last Guardian: 1,940,000
- Mass Effect: Andromeda: 2,206,857
- Uncharted: The Lost Legacy: 3,890,000
- Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus: 1, 437,000
- Detroit: Become Human: 2,440,000
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider: 1,150,000
- Red Dead Redemption 2: 6,110,000
- Fallout 76: 407,000
Are They Accurate?
In truth, on the whole, it certainly seems to be. For example, we were aware that sales for Wolfenstein II were reportedly very poor. In addition, we had also heard that Shadow of the Tomb Raider was underperforming at the checkout. As for Fallout 76? Well, the less said the better!
In truth, Sony may react to this by removing the website. It does, after all, reveal information they would prefer we didn’t know. For the meantime though, there’s plenty to digest!
