Legendary cooling manufacturer EK have been working with the teams at AMD, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI and more to create a new range of full cover water coolers. These include their EK-FC R9-290X VPX and both Matrix variants that are designed to cooler the GPU, RAM and VRM modules on the GPU, offering a complete cooling solution for all major components on the graphics card PCB, something that is vital for maintaining high overclocks.
The four new blocks from EK will also use their side-attached Terminal Port System. This allows up to four water blocks to be used on a single ATX form factor motherboard, as you can connected them up using their dual, triple or quad type EK-FC Terminal. All of these blocks are perfect for high flow water cooling and liquid cooled systems.
The Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SOC Force and ASUS Maximus VII motherboard series are also set to benefit from a new range of motherboard water cooling products. All will be nickel plated copper and feature either POM Acetal or plexi-glass tops depending on the variant. MSI Z97I Gaming FB blocks will also be available in a Monoblock format, featuring PCH, CRM and CPU cooling like that found on the EK-GB ASUS M6I.
It’s all pretty complicated, but EK will be adding products to their Cooling Configurator to help you find compatible graphics cards and other components.
