Sony has just announced that its award-winning BRAVIA Professional Displays series is expanding yet again, with a brand-new flagship 98-inch display leading the pack; the new FW-BZ53L series features Deep-Black Non-Glare technology. However, beyond that, there will now be the BRAVIA FW-BZ30L, which is now also available in a 98” option for customers in Europe. Furthermore, the recently announced BRAVIA 7, BRAVIA 8, and BRAVIA 9 models are the latest additions to its FWD tuner range and are coming to market with the benefit of Sony’s 3-year Pro Prime Support service package.
Go Big or Go Home?
The 98-inch display certainly won’t be for everyone, it’s enormous, and only 2″ shy of the 100″ screen I use for my projector, which is just insane, but comes as a more premium option to the already pretty incredible BZ40L range with its 55-inch to 85-inch models. The BZ53L adds brand-new features designed to optimise the viewing experience for any retailer, business, or educational institution. However, nobody said you couldn’t put one in your home.
Sony’s unique Deep-Black Non-Glare Coating means the BZ53L display benefits from low reflection, high contrast and precise image quality. These features address common concerns related to digital signage being displayed in challenging, high ambient light, or direct lighting environments, and make the BZ53L series an ideal choice for busy retail showrooms, large lecture halls or meeting rooms, and corporate receptions.
“Similar to its predecessors, the BZ53L is designed to be user-friendly and incredibly versatile. The demand for digital signage is increasing rapidly as businesses and educational organisations continue to invest in technology that facilitates the growing importance of in-person experiences, modern hybrid working and online learning,” comments Christopher Mullins, Head of B2B BRAVIA Product Marketing, Sony Europe. “The new models are also an example of our continued commitment to a more sustainable future, using recycled plastic materials and packaging, as well as smart power-saving modes that see displays power off when not in use.”
The new BRAVIA 7 (FWD-XR70), 8 (FWD-XR80) and 9 (FWD-XR90) tuner models boast Sony’s best-ever brightness and sound quality, as well as improved colour volume, clear shadow details in dark scenes, and sound delivered directly from the screen to faithfully display cinema creators’ intent. Ideal for high-end home theatre installations, the 7, 8, and 9 FWD BRAVIA series from Sony Professional Displays and Solutions benefits from its unique 3-year pro support for customers and will be capable of high peak luminance, deep blacks, supreme contrast, and beautiful natural colours.
“Making these high-quality tuner models available with our Pro Prime Support Package means that customers looking for high-end residential displays can be reassured they will receive optimum customer support for the first three years of their installation,” says Chris Mullins. “For our custom install and reseller partners, Sony is now able to provide further best-in-class technologies to the market alongside our extensive home cinema lineup, ensuring customers looking for an at-home cinematic experience have even greater options to suit their varying requirements.”
Optimised for commercial environments where reliability, picture quality, and broad compatibility are required, and with sizes now ranging from 43 to 98 inches, the new addition to this lineup means Sony offers more display options to address virtually every demand.
