A new rumor surrounding the RTX 5070 Ti sheds light on its memory configuration and power requirements, revealing a significant increase in power consumption. According to the latest unofficial details, the card will come equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory and a total board power (TBP) of 350W.
This marks a considerable jump from the earlier leak, which estimated the card’s power consumption at 300W. The new specs suggest a more advanced launch compared to the RTX 4070 Ti.
Unlike its predecessor, the RTX 5070 Ti is expected to share the same GPU as the higher-end models in the Blackwell generation, specifically the GB203 chip used in the RTX 5080, albeit with slight cuts.
The rumors indicate the RTX 5070 Ti will feature 8,960 CUDA cores, a 256-bit memory interface, and a memory speed of up to 28Gbps. WCCFTech reports that the card’s total memory bandwidth could reach 896GB/s, which is 33% higher than the RTX 4070 Ti’s.
In addition, speculation points to changes in NVIDIA’s Blackwell release schedule. If the rumors are accurate, the RTX 5070 Ti could be the third card in the series, following the RTX 5090 and 5080, with a release expected in the first quarter of 2025. The standard RTX 5070 would likely launch later, closer to the RTX 5060. However, sources suggest that NVIDIA plans to release all six of the initial RTX 50 models in the first half of 2025.
With CES just around the corner, set to begin on January 6th, NVIDIA is expected to officially unveil its new Blackwell-based GPUs during its scheduled keynote.
