A little over a year ago, rumours began to surface suggesting that not only had Konami approved a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, but one that was apparently already in production. Admittedly, we dismissed it as more likely false flag hope than it actually having any notable substance. I mean, let’s be honest, at the time Konami didn’t appear to be showing any interest in making games anymore (how quickly that’s changed over the last month with masses of Silent Hill announcements!).
Following a Twitter post via user ‘@AestheticGamer1‘, however, fresh news has appeared online which claims that a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will be officially launched during The Game Awards which is set for December 8th.
The teaser was reportedly posted by developer Virtuos (a pretty solid if not overly well-known studio) who quickly deleted it within a couple of hours of it being online. The internet being the internet, however, they didn’t manage to do this before a few people snagged it to try and decipher the message.
What is the message? Well, with clear references to Metal Gear Solid 3 within it, it’s also noted that something regarding this title will be announced a The Game Awards (which is set to happen in just over 6 weeks’ time.
Could a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake actually be happening? – Well, while I’d have possibly picked the first title as a more logical choice, I’ll take this all day long!
